The Arena Pantanal is located in Cuiabá in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso. It was a new stadium, having been built to host four of the group stage matches of World Cup 2014.
Construction: FIFA expressed serious concerns after a visit in November 2013, threatening to remove the venue from the competiton. Building contractors responded with claims that the stadium will be ready by February 2014. It was eventually handed over to FIFA on May 21, 2014 - 3 weeks before the start of the World Cup.
